2024 General Election

In North Carolina, the general election is on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024. This election will determine the next President and Vice President. More voter resources can be found here.

2024 Offices Up For Election

This year is a big one for elections. For North Carolina voters, the following offices are up for election. Depending on where you’re voting from, you may also find local municipal races on your ballot as well. Be sure to look through a sample ballot ahead of time to see who’s running in your district (voter lookup can be found here).

2024 General Election Dates:

• Oct. 11, 2024: Civilian voter registration deadline, including party affiliation.  After this point, only same-day registration during one-stop early voting is available.
• Oct. 17, 2024: One-stop, in-person early voting period begins. Talley Student Union WILL be a voting location for early voting.
• Oct. 26, 2024 at 5 p.m.: Deadline for civilians to submit an absentee ballot request form. **be aware – it is best to request and send in your ballot earlier than this to be sure that it arrives on time**
• Nov. 2, 2024: One-stop, in-person early voting period ends at 3 p.m.
• Nov. 5, 2024: Election Day and civilian absentee ballot return deadline. Talley Student Union is not a voting location on Election Day.
