Yes! NC State is proud to host an early voting site on campus from October 15 through 31! For the upcoming November 2026 General Election, the on-campus early voting site will be at 1220 Varsity Dr (Western Blvd. Business Services building).

Nope. While we are proud to say that NC State hosts an early voting site, voters who plan to vote on Election Day must vote at their designated precinct. Use the North Carolina State Board of Elections Voter Search to find your voting information.

In North Carolina, you have many options for voting:

• You can vote early on campus at NC State from October 15 through 31! Anyone in the NC State or surrounding communities are welcome.
• For in-person voting, you can register until October 9 at your current address, or participate in one-stop early voting, which takes place from October 15 through October 31. Note that same-day registration is ONLY offered during early voting – not on Election Day.
• If you are going to vote absentee, your deadline to request a ballot is October 20, but we HIGHLY recommend you do so much earlier in case unexpected roadblocks come up.

In North Carolina, you must be 18 years old to vote in the General Election. If you are 17 years old, and will be 18 by Election Day, you may participate in Primary Elections. You may pre-register to vote at age 16 in North Carolina, but will need to wait until you meet the voting age criteria above before you cast a ballot.

In North Carolina, absentee voting includes Early Voting, voting by mail, and voting from another state or abroad to your registered county. All registered voters are qualified to vote absentee if they choose. Yes! Student Leadership and Engagement provides, free of charge, the required postage stamps needed for any student to mail an absentee ballot. Only current NC State students may receive free postage stamps from Pack the Polls and Student Leadership and Engagement.

Yes. You must stand in line with the rest of the voters until you get inside. Once you are inside you must go to the registration/check-in table. You will hand your voted absentee ballot, sealed in the return envelope, to the elections official and will be required to fill out an absentee ballot return log. Once logged, you will exit through the same exit as the other voters exiting. This is the safest way for both voters and election officials. If hand-delivering, it must be logged in when delivered. As long as you are voting, we are ecstatic! However, Pack the Polls recognizes that college students and young voters often face challenges when it comes to voting. Because of this, many students utilize early voting. This period allows you to easily fix any problems with your registration.
