History and Purpose of Pack the Polls
Founded in 2016, Pack the Polls is a campus-wide coalition on voter engagement and education. The Pack the Polls coalition has three main missions:
- Foster a coordinated impact by bringing together organizations, faculty, students, and staff from across the university and greater community that share similar goals of activating students to become civically engaged in upcoming elections.
- Provide civic engagement education, activities, and centralized information to the NC State community.
- Increase voter registration and election turnout using creative engagement tactics.
Early Voting Site at Talley Student Union
NC State University hosted an Early Voting site in the 2020 General Election from October 15-31, 2020. Click here for the unofficial voter turnout report from the Wake County Board of Elections. Updated and official numbers can be found via the Wake County Board of Elections upon the commencement of the 2020 General Election. NC State University has historically hosted Early Voting sites in the past at various campus locations. Most recently, Talley Student Union has been hosted a site in 2018 and 2020. Early Voting sites are chosen by the Wake County Board of Elections prior to each election.
